To answer it directly YES. However, it is also important to understand what coke has that makes it effective. Moreover, it is vital to know its limitations.
Firstly, coke contains phosphoric acid, which is the one responsible for removing stains and rust from the metal parts of the car headlights. Additionally. This same solution is also effective in resolving foggy problems in plastic lenses.

How to Clean Headlights with Coca Cola
So, how to clean your car headlights with coca cola? Follow the 7 steps below:
Step 1: Choose the right Coca Cola Variant.
There are several variants of coca cola products nowadays. But for this specific purpose, please do use the original coke variant. The original is the preferred choice as its phosphoric content is enough to clean your car headlights.
To be specific a can of coca cola is the popular choice. It is effective and has enough amount to pour onto the headlights. Also, coke is cheap and widely available in convenience stores and supermarkets, so getting hold of one should be easy.
Lastly, make sure to use an outdoor light for cold weather if you do this in winter.
Step 2: Use a Spray Bottle to Apply the Coke to the Headlight.
We do advise not to pour the coke directly onto the headlights for two reasons. Firstly, you are wasting the coke if you do this. Secondly, you want to keep the solution in areas you actually need them.
What you should do instead is to transfer the coke into a spray bottle. Doing so will make it easier for you to apply the solution and you get to have easier control on how much to use as spraying allows you to do that.
Step 3: Wait for 30 Seconds.
After which, just let the coke sit on the headlights for about 30 seconds.
Step 4: Wipe the Headlight with a Microfiber Towel.
Get a microfiber towel and gently wipe the headlights clean. Slightly put more pressure on the spots where stains and rust are found.
Wiping strokes are also important here. What we usually do is to wipe in circular motion on areas where stains are located. And then when we are satisfied that stains are removed, we spray coke again and wipe in one direction this time. For instance, from left to right or top to bottom.
Step 5: Repeat the Steps 1 to as Needed.
Step 6: Don’t Forget to Spray Water to the Headlight.
After doing all the steps above, we also recommend to spray clean water on the headlights. The water helps in eliminating the sugary residue that the coke has.
Step 7: Wipe It with a Microfiber Towel Again.
Finally, get another microfiber towel and wipe the water off the headlights, making sure that stains and foggy parts are all gone.
This step is important as you do not want traces of sugar on the headlights. Coke is good to remove stains and rust, but it should not sit overnight or for a longer period on your car headlights.
